धृतराष्ट्रस्य पश्चात्तापः तथा वनप्रस्थानानुज्ञा | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Remorse and Request for Forest-Retirement
चारयेथाश्ष सततं चारैरविदित: परै: | परीक्षितैर्बहुविधै: स्वराष्ट्प्रतिवासिभि:
cārayethāś ca satataṃ cārair aviditaḥ paraiḥ | parīkṣitair bahuvidhaiḥ svarāṣṭra-prativāsibhiḥ ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—शत्रूंना अज्ञात राहून, तपासून पाहिलेले व आपल्या राज्यातीलच रहिवासी असे अनेक प्रकारचे हेर पाठवून सतत शत्रूंवर नजर ठेव. त्यांचे गुप्त हेतू जाण आणि शत्रूंना तुझे भेद कळू नयेत यासाठी सावध प्रयत्न कर.
