जगमदग्निर्वाच स्थिरं चापि चल॑ चापि जाने त्वां ज्ञानचक्षुषा | अवश्यं विनयाधान कार्यमद्य मया तव

Transliteration

Jamadagnir uvāca: sthiraṁ cāpi calaṁ cāpi jāne tvāṁ jñānacakṣuṣā | avaśyaṁ vinayādhānaṁ kāryam adya mayā tava ||

Translation

जमदग्नी म्हणाले—तुझे ध्येय स्थिर असो वा चंचल, ज्ञानदृष्टीने मी तुला ओळखले आहेस—तू सूर्य आहेस. म्हणून आज मी तुला दंड देऊन निश्चयाने विनय व सदाचारात स्थापन करीन.
