Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
जग्राहांगिरसं देव: शिखी तस्माद्भधुताशन: । तस्मादांगिरसा ज्ञेया: सर्व एव तदन्वया:
jagrāhāṅgirasaṃ devaḥ śikhī tasmād badhutāśanaḥ | tasmād āṅgirasā jñeyāḥ sarva eva tad-anvayāḥ ||
वसिष्ठ म्हणाले—ज्वालाकिरीटधारी अग्निदेवाने अंगिरसाला पुत्ररूपाने स्वीकारले; म्हणून अंगिरसाच्या वंशातील सर्वजण अग्निवंशी म्हणून जाणावे, आणि ‘वारुण’ या संज्ञेनेही ओळखावे.
