Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
रुद्रस्तु तेजो5प्रतिमं धारयामास वै तदा । प्रस्कन्नं तु ततस्तस्मात् किंचित्तत्रापतद् भुवि
rudras tu tejo 'pratimaṃ dhārayāmāsa vai tadā | praskannaṃ tu tatas tasmāt kiñcit tatrāpatad bhuvi ||
भीष्म म्हणाले— त्या वेळी रुद्रदेवांनी आपले अनुपम तेज (वीर्य) आवरले; तरीही त्यातील थोडासा अंश स्खलित होऊन तेथेच पृथ्वीवर पडला.
