Brahmā–Indra–Surabhi Itihāsa
समानवत्सां धूम्रां तु थेनुं दत््वा पयस्विनीम् । सुव्रतां वस्त्रसंवीतां याम्यलोके महीयते
samānavatsāṃ dhūmrāṃ tu dhenuṃ dattvā payasvinīm | suvratāṃ vastrasaṃvītāṃ yāmyaloke mahīyate ||
वसिष्ठ म्हणाले— जो पुरुष दूध देणारी सुलक्षणी धूम्रवर्णी गाय, धूम्रवर्ण वासरासह, वस्त्र पांघरून दान करतो, तो यमलोकात सन्मानित होतो।
