भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । ऋषेरुद्दालकेर्वाक्यं नाचिकेतस्य चो भयो:
bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam | ṛṣer uddālaker vākyaṃ nāciketasya ca ubhayoḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाला—राजन्! या विषयातही ज्ञानीजन एक प्राचीन इतिहास उदाहरण म्हणून सांगतात—ऋषी उद्दालक आणि नाचिकेत, दोघांच्या वचनांनी युक्त असा संवाद।
