भीष्म उवाच
The verse uses imagery of inexhaustible abundance—food-mountains and milk-rivers—to indicate the rewarding results of dharmic life and accumulated merit, where basic needs and comforts are provided without struggle.
Bhishma is describing a wondrous realm characterized by extraordinary prosperity: mountains composed of edible delights, the presence of garments and ornaments, rivers flowing with milk, and great heaps of grain like mountains.
