Bhūmi-dānasya Māhātmya
The Pre-eminence of Land-Gift
यस्य वै शैशिरे काले तडागे सलिलं भवेत् । तस्याग्निष्टोमयज्ञस्यथ फलमाहुर्मनीषिण:
yasya vai śaiśire kāle taḍāge salilaṁ bhavet | tasyāgniṣṭomayajñasya tathā phalam āhur manīṣiṇaḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—ज्याच्या तळ्यात शिशिरकाळ (माघ-फाल्गुन) संपेपर्यंत पाणी टिकून राहते, त्याला अग्निष्टोम यज्ञासमान फल मिळते, असे मनीषी सांगतात.
