Cyavana–Kuśika Dialogue on Lineage, Conflict, and Transmission
tathaiva ca sa rājarṣis tasthau tāṃ rajanīṃ tadā | sa-bhāryo vāg-yataḥ śrīmān na ca kopaṃ samāviśat ||
The verse highlights kṣānti and self-mastery: even under strain, an ideal ruler-sage restrains speech and refuses to let anger take hold, showing that inner discipline is a mark of true nobility and dharma.
Bhishma describes a royal sage who, along with his wife, spends the entire night standing silently in the same place, maintaining composure and not succumbing to anger.
