पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
ये चैनमनुवर्तन्ते ते न यान्ति पराभवम् | नते प्रेत्य विनश्यन्ति गच्छन्ति न पराभवम्
ye cainam anuvartante te na yānti parābhavam | na te pretya vinaśyanti gacchanti na parābhavam ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—जे ब्राह्मणांचे अनुसरण करतात, त्यांना पराभव येत नाही. मृत्यूनंतरही त्यांचा नाश वा अधःपतन होत नाही; त्यांना अपमान प्राप्त होत नाही, ते पतनाविना पुढे जातात.
