देवा: सोमार्कसंस्थानि यथा सत्रादिभिर्मखै: । अमृतान्युपजीवन्ति तथा गज्ाजलं नस:
devāḥ somārkasaṁsthāni yathā satrādibhir makhaiḥ | amṛtāny upajīvanti tathā gaṅgājalaṁ naraḥ ||
ज्याप्रमाणे देवता सत्रादि यज्ञांद्वारे चंद्र-सूर्यात स्थित अमृतावर उपजीविका करतात, त्याप्रमाणे या संसारातील मनुष्य गंगाजलाच्या आधाराने जीवन निर्वाह करतात।
