Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
अग्नौ प्रास्तं प्रधूयेत यथा तूल॑ द्विजोत्तम । तथा गज्भजावगाढस्य सर्वपापं प्रधूयते
agnau prāstaṃ pradhūyeta yathā tūlaṃ dvijottama | tathā gaṅgāmbhasi āvāgāḍhasya sarvapāpaṃ pradhūyate ||
सिद्ध म्हणाला—हे द्विजोत्तम! जशी अग्नीत टाकलेली कापसाची पुडी क्षणात जळून भस्म होते, तशी गंगाजलात डुबकी घेणाऱ्या मनुष्याची सर्व पापे धुऊन नष्ट होतात।
