कला: काष्ठा लवा मात्रा मुहूर्ताहःक्षपा: क्षणा: । विश्वेक्षेत्र प्रजाबीज॑ लिड्रमाद्यस्तु निर्गम:
vāyudeva uvāca | kalāḥ kāṣṭhā lavā mātrā muhūrtāhaḥkṣapāḥ kṣaṇāḥ | viśvakṣetraṁ prajābījaṁ liṅgam ādyas tu nirgamaḥ ||
वायुदेव म्हणाला— कला, काष्ठा, लव, मात्रा, मुहूर्त, दिवस-रात्र आणि क्षण—हे काळाचे माप व विभाग आहेत. तोच ब्रह्मांडरूपी वृक्षाचा आधार-क्षेत्र आहे; तोच सर्व प्रजांचा बीज-कारण आहे; तोच अव्यक्ताचा बोध करून देणारे सूक्ष्म ‘लिंग’ आहे; आणि सृष्टीत सर्वप्रथम प्रकट होणारा तोच आहे.
