प्रतर्दनो दिवोदास: सुदास: कोसलेश्वर: । ऐलो नलश्न राजर्षिमिनुश्चैव प्रजापति:
pratardano divodāsaḥ sudāsaḥ kosaleśvaraḥ | ailo nalaś ca rājarṣir manuś caiva prajāpatiḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—“आता या राजर्षींची नावे आणखी ऐक—प्रतर्दन, दिवोदास, कोसलाधिपती सुदास, ऐल (पुरूरवा), राजर्षी नल आणि प्रजापती मनु. हे तसेच पुराणांत प्रसिद्ध इतर प्राचीन पुण्यात्मे राजे स्मरणीय आहेत. जो मनुष्य दररोज उठून स्नानाने शुद्ध होऊन प्रातःकाळी व सायंकाळी या नावांचे पठण करतो, तो धर्मफळाचा भागी होतो.”
