आटद्य: प्रकीर्तितो राजन् सर्वपापप्रमोचन: । राजन! यह आदियमें होनेवाले देवता और ऋषियोंका मुख्य समुदाय अपने नामका कीर्तन करनेपर मनुष्यको सब पापोंसे मुक्त करता है
āṭadyaḥ prakīrtito rājan sarvapāpapramocanaḥ |
भीष्म म्हणाले—राजन्, आटद्य हा सर्व पापांचा नाश करणारा म्हणून प्रसिद्ध आहे. आदियुगात उत्पन्न झालेल्या देवता व ऋषींचा प्रधान समुदायही असेच सांगतो की त्याचे नामकीर्तन केल्याने मनुष्य सर्व पापांतून मुक्त होतो।
