That sacred names/hymns transmitted by authoritative seers and compiled with Vedic discipline and devotion are ‘satya’ (trustworthy) and ‘siddha’ (proven), and thus spiritually efficacious—capable of supporting legitimate human aims when approached reverently.
Vāyu is introducing a revered set of divine names (in context, a Śiva-stotra tradition) and legitimizing it by citing its compilation by the sage Taṇḍin, emphasizing its Vedic grounding, truth, and established power.
