रुद्रस्य विक्रमं दृष्टवा भीता देवा: सहर्षिभि: । ततः प्रसादयामासु: शर्व ते विबुधोत्तमा:,रुद्रका पराक्रम देखकर ऋषियोंसहित सम्पूर्ण देवता थर्या उठे। फिर उन श्रेष्ठ देवताओंने भगवान् शिवको प्रसन्न किया
rudrasya vikramaṃ dṛṣṭvā bhītā devāḥ saharṣibhiḥ | tataḥ prasādayāmāsuḥ śarvaṃ te vibudhottamāḥ ||
रुद्राचे पराक्रम पाहून ऋषींसह सर्व देव भयभीत झाले. मग त्या श्रेष्ठ देवांनी शर्व (शिव) यांना प्रसन्न करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला.
