ब्राह्मणप्रमुखं सौम्यं न मे5त्रास्ति विचारणा

brāhmaṇa-pramukhaṃ saumyaṃ na me ’trāsti vicāraṇā | brāhmaṇeṣu śānta-bhāvasya prādhānyam | etad-viṣaye mama na vicāraṇā | brāhmaṇa-pūjanād āyuḥ kīrtiḥ yaśaḥ balaṃ ca prāpyate | sarve lokāḥ lokeśvarāś ca brāhmaṇa-pūjakāḥ santi ||

वायू म्हणाला— “हे सौम्य, ब्राह्मण सर्वांत अग्रस्थानी आहेत—यात मला किंचितही शंका नाही. ब्राह्मणांत शांतीस्वभावाची प्रधानता असते; म्हणून याविषयी विचार करण्याची गरज नाही. ब्राह्मणपूजेने आयुष्य, कीर्ती, यश आणि बल प्राप्त होते. सर्व लोक आणि लोकेश्वरही ब्राह्मणांचे उपासक आहेत.”
