अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
आराधितो<भूद् भक्तेन तस्योदर्क निशामय । स दृष्टवान् महादेवमस्तौषीच्च स्तवैर्विभुम्
ārādhito 'bhūd bhaktena tasyodarkaṃ niśāmaya | sa dṛṣṭavān mahādevam astauṣīc ca stavair vibhum ||
वायू म्हणाला—त्या भक्तीचा परिणाम ऐक. भक्ताने श्रद्धेने आराधना केल्यावर प्रभूंनी तिचे फळ दिले; त्याने महादेवांचे दर्शन घेतले आणि स्तोत्रांनी त्या सर्वव्यापी विभूची स्तुती केली.
