Worldly attainments—kingdom and strength—are presented as truly rare and valuable when accompanied by dharma-knowledge, and all are attributed to the grace of a realized sage (Dattātreya), emphasizing humility, gratitude, and the ethical grounding of power.
Arjuna addresses the listener and acknowledges that the listener’s exceptional gains—sovereignty, power, and dharmic/scriptural learning—were made possible through Dattātreya’s favor, highlighting the role of spiritual patronage in righteous success.
