उद्धव: क्षोभणो देव: श्रीगर्भ: परमेश्वर: । करणं कारणं कर्ता विकर्ता गहनो गृह:
uddhavaḥ kṣobhaṇo devaḥ śrīgarbhaḥ parameśvaraḥ | karaṇaṃ kāraṇaṃ kartā vikartā gahano guhaḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—तो ‘उद्धव’, ‘क्षोभण’, ‘देव’, ‘श्रीगर्भ’ आणि ‘परमेश्वर’ म्हणून ओळखला जातो. तोच करण आणि कारण; तोच कर्ता आणि नानाविध लोकांचा विकर्ता; तो गहन आहे, गुह्य आहे—मायेने स्वतःचे स्वरूप आच्छादित करतो.
