ओजस्तेजोद्युतिधर: प्रकाशात्मा प्रतापन: । ऋद्धः स्पष्टाक्षरो मन्त्रश्नन्द्रांशुर्भास्करद्युति:
ojastejodyutidharaḥ prakāśātmā pratāpanaḥ | ṛddhaḥ spaṣṭākṣaro mantraś candrāṁśur bhāskaradyutiḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—तो ओज, तेज आणि द्युती धारण करणारा; प्रकाशच ज्याचा आत्मस्वरूप; आणि आपल्या विभूतींनी तपवणारा व संयम करणारा आहे. तो ऋद्ध आहे—धर्म, ज्ञान व वैराग्याने संपन्न; त्याचा अक्षर स्पष्ट आहे—प्रकट ओंकार; तो वेदमंत्रस्वरूप आहे; तो चंद्रकिरणांसारखा संसारतापाने दग्ध मनांना शीतल करतो; आणि सूर्याप्रमाणे तेजस्वी आहे.
