उत्तारणो दुष्कृतिहा पुण्यो दुःस्वप्रनाशन: । वीरहा रक्षण: सन्तो जीवन: पर्यवस्थित:
bhīṣma uvāca | uttāraṇo duṣkṛtihā puṇyo duḥsvapnanāśanaḥ | vīrahā rakṣaṇaḥ santaḥ jīvanaḥ paryavasthitaḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—तो उत्तारण, जो संसार-सागर पार करतो; दुष्कृत्यांचा नाश करणारा; पुण्यस्वरूप, स्मरण करणाऱ्यांना पवित्र करणारा; आणि ध्यान-स्मरण-कीर्तन-पूजनाने दुःस्वप्नांचा नाश करणारा। तो शरणागतांच्या विविध गती छेदून जन्म-मरणचक्राचा अंत करणारा; सर्वथा रक्षक; विद्या-विनय-धर्म प्रसारासाठी संतांच्या रूपाने प्रकट होणारा; सर्व प्राण्यांचा जीवन-प्राण; आणि समग्र विश्वात व्याप्त होऊन सर्वत्र स्थित आहे।
