इत्युक्त्वा देवदेवस्य पत्नी धर्मभृतां वरा । स्मितपूर्वमथाभाष्य सर्वास्ता: सरितस्तथा
ity uktvā devadevasya patnī dharmabhṛtāṃ varā | smitapūrvam athābhāṣya sarvāstāḥ saritastathā ||
असे बोलून देवाधिदेव महादेवांची पत्नी, धर्मात्म्यांमध्ये श्रेष्ठ उमा हिने मंद स्मित करून गंगा आदी सर्व नद्यांना संबोधिले.
