यत् तद् भगवता पूर्व दत्त चक्रं तवानघ । जलान्तरचरं हत्वा दैत्यं च बलगर्वितम्
yat tad bhagavatā pūrva datta cakraṁ tavānagha | jalāntaracaraṁ hatvā daityaṁ ca balagarvitam ||
वासुदेव म्हणाले—निष्पाप! जे चक्र भगवंतांनी पूर्वी तुला दिले—जलांतरी फिरणाऱ्या बल-गर्वित दैत्याचा वध करून—ते स्वतः वृषध्वज (शिव) यांनीच उत्पन्न करून तुला प्रदान केले. ते अग्निसमान दीप्त, अद्भुत तेजयुक्त व दुर्धर्ष अस्त्र आहे.
