Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

tadbhaktas tadgato nityaṁ tannisṭhas tatparāyaṇaḥ | bhaja putra mahādevaṁ tataḥ prāpsyasi cepsitam ||

Educational Q&A

Single-minded devotion: become a devotee, keep the mind absorbed, remain steadfast, and take Mahādeva as the highest refuge; such focused worship leads to the attainment of one’s sought goal.

Vāsudeva addresses a younger interlocutor (“son”) and gives practical spiritual counsel: to worship Mahādeva with unwavering devotion and reliance, promising that this disciplined bhakti will bring the desired result.
