Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
हंसकाकमयूराणां कृकलासकसारसाम् | रूपाणि च बलाकानां गृध्रचक्राज़््योरपि
haṃsakākamayūrāṇāṃ kṛkalāsakasārasām | rūpāṇi ca balākānāṃ gṛdhracakrājyor api ||
वासुदेव म्हणाले—महादेव हंस, कावळा, मोर, पाल आणि सारस यांची रूपे धारण करतात; बगळा, गिधाड आणि चक्रवाक पक्ष्याचेही रूप ते घेतात. अशा रीतीने प्रभू असंख्य जीव-रूपांत प्रकट होऊन दाखवितात की दिव्यता सर्व प्राण्यांत व्यापलेली आहे आणि कोणताही जीव पूज्यतेच्या कक्षेबाहेर नाही.
