नारदेन तु भक्त्यासौ भव आराधित: पुरा

Transliteration

nāraden tu bhaktyāsau bhava ārādhitaḥ purā | gītena vāditavyena nityaṃ mām anuyāsyasi ||

Translation

पूर्वकाळी देवर्षी नारदांनी भक्तिभावाने भव (शिव) यांची आराधना केली. त्या भक्तीने प्रसन्न होऊन भवाने वर दिला—“गीत व वाद्य-वादनाने तू सदैव माझा अनुसरण व प्रचार करशील.”
