अस्माकं परितोषश्न अक्षय: परिकीरत्त्यते | इस तरह निष्कपट भावसे किया हुआ दान अक्षय एवं महान् फलदायक होता है और उससे हमें भी अक्षय संतोष प्राप्त होता है--ऐसा शास्त्रका कथन है ।।
śakra uvāca | asmākaṃ paritoṣaś ca akṣayaḥ parikīrtyate | śraddadhānāś ca ye martyā āhariṣyanti santatim ||
शक्र म्हणाला—आमचा संतोषही अक्षय आहे, असे सांगितले जाते. म्हणून निष्कपट व निर्मळ अंतःकरणाने केलेले दान अक्षय होते आणि महान फल देते; त्याने आम्हालाही अनंत समाधान प्राप्त होते—असा शास्त्राचा उपदेश आहे. आणि जे मर्त्य श्रद्धेने दान करतात, त्यांना चिरस्थायी संतती-परंपरा लाभते.
