अग्निकार्येषु वै तेषां हव्यं नाश्नाति पावक: । जो प्रज्वलित यज्ञाग्निमें समिधाकी आहुति नहीं देते
agnikāryeṣu vai teṣāṃ havyaṃ nāśnāti pāvakaḥ |
शक्र म्हणाला—जे अग्निकार्यांची उपेक्षा करतात, त्यांचे हव्य पावक स्वीकारत नाही. जे प्रज्वलित यज्ञाग्नीत समिधेची आहुती देत नाहीत, त्यांच्या अग्निहोत्रात अग्निदेव हविष्य ग्रहण करीत नाहीत; म्हणून अग्नी विधिपूर्वक प्रज्वलित करूनच आहुती द्यावी.
