Sāma (Sāntva) and Dāna: The Brāhmaṇa’s Conciliatory Release from a Rākṣasa
यदेव ददत: पुण्यं तदेव प्रतिगृह्नतः । न होकचक्रं वर्तेत इत्येवमृषयों विदु:
yad eva dadataḥ puṇyaṃ tad eva pratigṛhṇataḥ | na hokacakraṃ varteta ity evam ṛṣayo viduḥ ||
दान देणाऱ्याला जे पुण्य मिळते, तेच पुण्य विधिपूर्वक स्वीकार करणाऱ्यालाही मिळते. ऋषी जाणतात—याच परस्पर आधाराने लोकचक्र चालते; अन्यथा ते चालले नसते।
