Adhyāya 122 — Śruta-vṛtta-yukta Brāhmaṇa and the Ethics of Dāna

कीट उवाच इदं तदतुलं स्थानमीप्सितं दशभिर्गुणै: । यदहं प्राप्य कीटत्वमागतो राजपुत्रताम्
kīṭa uvāca idaṃ tad atulaṃ sthānam īpsitaṃ daśabhir guṇaiḥ | yad ahaṃ prāpya kīṭatvam āgato rājaputratām ||
कीटक (क्षत्रिय) म्हणाला—भगवन्! आज मला ते अतुल्य स्थान प्राप्त झाले आहे, जे मी दहा जन्मांतही मिळावे अशी इच्छा धरली होती. माझ्याच दोषामुळे कीट-योनीत पडूनही आपल्या कृपेने आज मी राजपुत्र झालो आहे.
