Śakuntalā-Janma-Nāmakaraṇa (Birth and Naming of Śakuntalā) | शकुन्तला-जन्म-नामकरणम्
भूषणानां च सर्वेषां कर्ता शिल्पवतां वर: । यो दिव्यानि विमानानि त्रिदशानां चकार ह,वे सब प्रकारके भूषणोंको बनानेवाले और शिल्पियोंमें श्रेष्ठ हैं। उन्होंने देवताओंके असंख्य दिव्य विमान बनाये हैं
bhūṣaṇānāṃ ca sarveṣāṃ kartā śilpavatāṃ varaḥ | yo divyāni vimānāni tridaśānāṃ cakāra ha ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले— ते सर्व प्रकारच्या भूषणांचे निर्माता आणि शिल्पकारांमध्ये श्रेष्ठ आहेत। त्रिदश (देव) यांसाठी दिव्य विमाने त्यांनीच घडविली।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights excellence (śreṣṭhatva) in skill and the ethical orientation of talent: superior craftsmanship is portrayed as meaningful when aligned with higher purposes—here, serving the devas and sustaining the cosmic order associated with dharma.
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes a renowned master artisan: he creates all kinds of ornaments and is the best among craftsmen, and he is credited with making divine vimānas for the gods (tridaśas), emphasizing his extraordinary capability and reputation.
