Āstīka Stops the Sarpa-satra; Royal Closure and Protective Phalaśruti (आस्तीकः सर्पसत्रनिवर्तनम्)
सर्व विस्तरशस्तात भवाझुछंसितुमहति । सर्पसत्रविधानज्ञविज्ञेया: के च सूतज,तात! ये सब बातें आप विस्तारपूर्वक बताइये। सूतपुत्र! यह भी सूचित कीजिये कि सर्पसत्रकी विधिको जाननेवाले दिद्दानोंमें श्रेष्ठ समझे जानेयोग्य कौन-कौनसे महर्षि वहाँ उपस्थित थे
sarvaṃ vistaraśas tāta bhavān uccheṃsitum arhati | sarpasatravidhānajñā vijñeyāḥ ke ca sūtaja ||
शौनक म्हणाले—“तात! हे सर्व तू विस्ताराने सांगण्यास योग्य आहेस. आणि हे सूतपुत्रा! सर्पसत्राची विधी जाणणाऱ्यांमध्ये श्रेष्ठ मानले जाणारे कोणकोणते ऋषी तेथे उपस्थित होते, तेही सांग.”
