Garuḍa’s Assault on the Devas and the Fire-Barrier (अमृत-रक्षा-युद्धम्)
पुन: प्रोवाच विनता पुत्रहार्दादिदं वच: । जानन्त्यप्यतुलं वीर्यमाशीर्वादपरायणा
punaḥ provāca vinatā putrahārdād idaṃ vacaḥ | jānaty apy atulaṃ vīryam āśīrvādaparāyaṇā ||
पुन्हा विनतेने मातृस्नेहाने असे म्हटले—त्याचे अतुल पराक्रम तिला माहीत असूनही ती आशीर्वाद देण्यातच तत्पर राहिली.
गरुड उवाच
Even when someone is already powerful, loving elders still offer blessings and guidance; affection expresses itself as protective speech, reminding that strength should be accompanied by auspicious intention and right conduct.
Garuḍa is speaking in the chapter, and the verse describes Vinatā speaking again: moved by maternal love, she addresses him with blessing-oriented words, despite knowing his unmatched power.
