बभूव रूपमत्युग्रं सर्वभूतात्मनस्तदा । इस प्रकार पिशाच, नाग तथा राक्षसोंका संहार करनेवाले सर्वभूतात्मा भगवान् श्रीकृष्णका स्वरूप उस समय बड़ा भयंकर जान पड़ता था
babhūva rūpam atyugraṁ sarvabhūtātmanas tadā |
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—त्या वेळी सर्वभूतात्मा भगवान श्रीकृष्णाचे रूप अत्यंत उग्र झाले. पिशाच, नाग व राक्षसांचा संहार करणाऱ्या त्या प्रभूचे स्वरूप त्या क्षणी फारच भयंकर भासत होते॥
