Śārṅgaka-stuti to Agni during the Khāṇḍava Conflagration (शार्ङ्गक-स्तुतिः / अग्नि-स्तुतिः)

नरनारायणोौ यौ तौ पूर्वदेवी विभावसो । सम्प्राप्ती मानुषे लोके कार्यार्थ हि दिवौकसाम्‌,“विभावसो! आदिदेव नर और नारायण मुनि इस समय देवताओंका कार्य सिद्ध करनेके लिये मनुष्यलोकमें अवतीर्ण हुए हैं

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | nara-nārāyaṇau yau tau pūrva-devī vibhāvaso | samprāptī mānuṣe loke kāryārthaṃ hi divaukasām ||

वैशंपायन म्हणाले—“हे विभावसो! ते दोघे आदिदेव नर आणि नारायण देवांचे कार्य साधण्यासाठी आता मनुष्यलोकात आले आहेत.”
