सत्कृतस्त्वत्कृते पार्थ: सर्वैरस्माभिरच्युत । न च सोऊहति तां पूजां दुर्बुद्धि: कुलपांसन:,“अच्युत! तुम्हारे संतोषके लिये ही हम सब लोगोंने अर्जुनका इतना सत्कार किया; परंतु वह खोटी बुद्धिवाला कुलांगार उस सत्कारके योग्य कदापि न था

Transliteration

satkṛtas tvatkṛte pārthaḥ sarvair asmābhir acyuta | na ca so 'ūhati tāṁ pūjāṁ durbuddhiḥ kulapāṁsanaḥ ||

Translation

वैशंपायन म्हणाले—अच्युत! तुझ्या संतोषासाठीच आम्ही सर्वांनी पार्थ (अर्जुन) याचा मोठा सत्कार केला; पण तो कुविचारी, कुलकलंक, त्या पूजेचा योग्य नव्हता आणि त्या मानाचा अर्थही नीट समजू वा पेलू शकला नाही।
