समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

वसूनां पुनरुत्पत्तिर्भागीरथ्यां महात्मनाम् | शान्तनोर्वेश्मनि पुनस्तेषां चारोहणं दिवि,इसके बाद महाराज शान्तनुके गृहमें भागीरथी गंगाके गर्भसे महात्मा वसुओंकी उत्पत्ति एवं फिरसे उनके स्वर्गमें जानेका वर्णन किया गया है
vasūnāṁ punarutpattir bhāgīrathyāṁ mahātmanām | śāntanor veśmani punas teṣāṁ cārohaṇaṁ divi ||
यानंतर भागीरथी गंगेच्या गर्भातून महाराज शांतनूच्या गृहात महात्मा वसूंंची पुनर्जन्मकथा आणि नियत काळ पूर्ण झाल्यावर त्यांचे पुन्हा स्वर्गारोहण याचे वर्णन केले आहे.
