पाण्डवानां पाञ्चालगमनम्

सा गौस्तत् सकल सैन्यं कालयामास दूरत: । विश्वामित्रस्य तत् सैन्यं काल्यमानं त्रियोजनम्
sā gaus tat sakala-sainyaṃ kālayāmāsa dūrataḥ | viśvāmitrasya tat sainyaṃ kālyamānaṃ triyojanam ||
त्या गायीने दूरूनच त्या संपूर्ण सेनेला हुसकावून नष्टप्राय केले. अशा रीतीने विश्वामित्राची ती सेना—तीन योजन पसरलेली—पराभवाकडे ढकलली जात होती.
