ततः स पुनरुद्यम्य वृक्षान् बहुविधान् बली । प्राहिणोद् भीमसेनाय तस्मै भीमश्न पाण्डव:,तब उस बलवान् निशाचरने पुनः बहुत-से वृक्षोंको उखाड़ा और भीमसेनपर चला दिया। पाण्डुनन्दन भीमने भी उसपर अनेक वृक्षोंद्वारा प्रहार किया
tataḥ sa punar udyamya vṛkṣān bahuvidhān balī | prāhiṇod bhīmasenāya tasmai bhīmaśna pāṇḍavaḥ ||
मग तो बलवान निशाचर पुन्हा अनेक प्रकारची झाडे उपटून भीमसेनावर फेकू लागला; आणि पांडुनंदन भीमानेही प्रत्युत्तरादाखल अनेक झाडांनी त्याच्यावर प्रहार केला।
