Āstravidyā-Pradarśana: The Kuru Princes’ Public Demonstration of Arms (आस्त्रविद्या-प्रदर्शनम्)
वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्त्वाब्रवीन्माद्री सकृच्चिन्तय दैवतम् । तस्मात् ते भवितापत्यमनुरूपमसंशयम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! महाराज पाण्डुके यों कहनेपर कुन्तीने माद्रीसे कहा--“तुम एक बार किसी देवताका चिन्तन करो, उससे तुम्हें योग्य संतानकी प्राप्ति होगी, इसमें संशय नहीं है”
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktvābravīn Mādrīṃ sakṛc cintaya daivatam | tasmāt te bhavitāpatyam anurūpam asaṃśayam ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—असे बोलून कुंतीने माद्रीला सांगितले—“एकदा तरी एखाद्या देवतेचे ध्यान करून आवाहन कर. त्यातून तुला तुझ्या योग्य अशी संतती निःसंशय प्राप्त होईल.”
