क्र एकविशर्त्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: पाण्डुका कुन्तीको समझाना और कुन्तीका पतिकी आज्ञासे पुत्रोत्पत्तिके लिये धर्मदेवताका आवाहन करनेके लिये उद्यत होना वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्तस्तया राजा तां देवीं पुनरब्रवीत् । धर्मविद् धर्मसंयुक्तमिदं वचनमुत्तमम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! कुन्तीके यों कहनेपर धर्मज्ञ राजा पाण्डुने देवी कुन्तीसे पुनः यह धर्मयुक्त बात कही
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktas tayā rājā tāṃ devīṃ punar abravīt | dharmavid dharmasaṃyuktam idaṃ vacanam uttamam ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—ती असे बोलताच धर्मज्ञ राजा पांडूने त्या देवी कुंतीला पुन्हा संबोधिले. ते वचन उत्तम होते—धर्मयुक्त आणि धर्म जाणणाऱ्याने उच्चारलेले.
