'dhyāyaḥ sūta uvāca / oṃ kaṇicikīṇikakrāṇī carvāṇī bhūtahāriṇi phaṇiviṣiṇi virathanārāyayaṇi ume dahadaha haste caṇḍe raudre māheśvari mahāmukhi jvālāmukhi śaṅkukarṇi śukamuṇḍe śatruṃ hanahana sarvanāśini svedaya sarvāṅgaśoṇitaṃ tannirīkṣāsi manasā devi saṃmohayasaṃmohaya rudrasya hṛdaye jātā rudrasya tdṛdaye sthitā / rudro raudreṇa rūpeṇa tvaṃ devi rakṣarakṣa māṃ hrūṃ māṃ hrūṃ phaphapha ṭhaṭhaḥ skandamekhalābālagrahaśatruviṣahārī oṃ śāle māle harahara viṣoṅkārarahiviṣavege hāṃ hāṃ śavari huṃ śavari ākaulavegeśe sarve viñcameghamāle sarvanāgādiviṣaharaṇam
सूत म्हणाले: ॐ—हे उग्र देवी, भूतांचा संहार करणाऱ्या आणि सर्पविष हरण करणाऱ्या; हे चंडी, रौद्री, माहेश्वरी—हे महामुखी, ज्वालामुखी, शंखकर्णी आणि मुंडधारिणी. शत्रूला मार, मार; हे सर्वनाशिनि. शत्रूच्या अंगातून रक्त गाळ; हे देवी, मनाने ते पहा आणि त्याला मोहित कर, मोहित कर. रुद्राच्या हृदयात जन्मलेली आणि स्थित असलेली—जेव्हा रुद्र रौद्र रूपात असतात, तेव्हा हे देवी, माझे रक्षण कर, रक्षण कर. हे विष आणि बालग्रह हरण करणाऱ्या माते, सर्व नाग इत्यादींचे विष दूर कर.
