śauryaṁ vīryaṁ dhṛtis tejas tyāgaś cātmajayaḥ kṣamā brahmaṇyatā prasādaś ca satyaṁ ca kṣatra-lakṣaṇam
Bhagavatam 7.11.22 lists valor, strength, steadiness, brilliance, generosity, self-control, forgiveness, protection of brāhmaṇas and Brahminical culture, graciousness, and truthfulness as kṣatriya qualities.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī speaks this verse while instructing King Parīkṣit on varṇāśrama-dharma and the defining traits of each social order.
Practice courage with integrity, discipline the senses, be truthful, forgive, give generously, and support genuine learning and spiritual culture—leadership rooted in service rather than ego.
