Mahārāja Sagara, Kapila Muni, and the Deliverance of the Sixty Thousand Sons
प्रागुदीच्यां दिशि हयं ददृशु: कपिलान्तिके । एष वाजिहरश्चौर आस्ते मीलितलोचन: ॥ ९ ॥ हन्यतां हन्यतां पाप इति षष्टिसहस्रिण: । उदायुधा अभिययुरुन्मिमेष तदा मुनि: ॥ १० ॥
prāg-udīcyāṁ diśi hayaṁ dadṛśuḥ kapilāntike eṣa vāji-haraś caura āste mīlita-locanaḥ
पुन्हा ईशान्य दिशेला कपिल मुनींच्या जवळ त्यांनी घोडा पाहिला आणि म्हणाले—“हा घोडा पळविणारा चोर आहे. डोळे मिटून बसला आहे; हा पापी—मारा, मारा!” असे म्हणत सगराचे साठ हजार पुत्र शस्त्रे उचलून मुनिंवर धावले. तेव्हा मुनिंनी नेत्र उघडले.
It states that Sagara’s sons found the sacrificial horse in the northeastern direction near Kapila and mistakenly assumed Kapila was the thief.
Because they saw the horse placed near him and, without understanding who he was, concluded he had stolen it.
