एतत् कल्पविकल्पस्य प्रमाणं परिकीर्तितम् । यत्र मन्वन्तराण्याहुश्चतुर्दश पुराविद: ॥ ११ ॥
etat kalpa-vikalpasya pramāṇaṁ parikīrtitam yatra manvantarāṇy āhuś caturdaśa purāvidaḥ
हे राजन्, एका कल्पात म्हणजे ब्रह्मदेवाच्या एका दिवसात ‘विकल्प’ नावाचे अनेक परिवर्तन घडतात; त्यांचे प्रमाण मी पूर्वीच सांगितले आहे. पुराणवेत्ते विद्वान ठरवितात की ब्रह्माच्या एका दिवसात चौदा मन्वंतरें होतात.
