त्वं तमिन्द्र पर्वतं महामुरुं वज्रेण वज्रिन् पर्वशश्चकर्तिथ । अवासृजो निवृताः सर्तवा अपः सत्रा विश्वं दधिषे केवलं सहः
tváṃ tám indra párvataṃ mahā́murúṃ vájreṇa vajrin párvaśaś cakartitha | ávā́sṛjo nívṛtāḥ sártavā́ ápaḥ satrā́ víśvaṃ dadhíṣe kévalaṃ sáhaḥ
Thou, Indra, that great broad mountain—O Bolt-bearer—didst with the thunderbolt hew joint from joint. Thou didst let loose the waters, pent and hindered, to run forth; and wholly thou upholdest all with force, with sheer unmingled might.
हे इंद्रा! वज्रधारी असता तूने त्या महान्, विस्तीर्ण पर्वताला वज्राने सांधा-सांध्यांतून फोडून टाकले. अडविलेल्या, रोखून धरलेल्या जलधारा तू वाहण्यासाठी मोकळ्या केल्यास; आणि तू आपल्या शुद्ध, एकरस पराक्रमाने संपूर्ण विश्वाला पूर्णतः धारण करतोस.
