तुभ्यमारण्याः पशवो मृगा वने हिता हंसाः सुपर्णाः शकुना वयांसि । तव यक्षं पशुपते अप्स्व१न्तस्तुभ्यं क्षरन्ति दिव्या आपो वृधे
túbhyam araṇyā́ḥ paśávo mṛgā́ váne hitā́ haṃsā́ḥ supárṇāḥ śakunā́ vayā́ṃsi | táva yákṣaṃ paśupate apsv àntás túbhyaṃ kṣáranti divyā́ ā́po vṛ́dhe
To thee belong the forest’s beasts, the wild game set in the wood; the geese, the fair-winged, the birds, the fliers. Thy wondrous power, O Lord of beasts, within the waters—unto thee the heavenly Waters flow, for thine increase.
हे पशुपते! अरण्यातील पशू, वनात वसलेले मृग; हंस, सुपर्ण, शकुन, उडणारे पक्षी—हे सर्व तुझेच आहेत. हे पशुपते! जलांच्या आत असलेले तुझे यक्ष (अद्भुत सामर्थ्य)—तुझ्या वृद्धीसाठी दिव्य आपः (स्वर्गीय जलधारा) तुझ्याकडे वाहतात.
