FAQs

Prudence (prājñatā) is expressed as time-place appropriateness and careful association: avoid suspicious settings at wrong times and avoid speech that can entangle one in social hostility or scandal.

This is an ācāra-nīti (conduct/ethics) instruction, outside the core pañcalakṣaṇa categories, illustrating the Purāṇic role as a practical guide to dharma.

‘Improper times in gardens’ symbolizes liminal, temptation-prone or unsafe contexts; guarded speech and careful company symbolize mastery of vāk (speech) and saṅga (association) as pillars of dharmic life.
